Nick is joined once again by SideLion Report contributor Ryan O’Bleness. This week, they go over the pros and cons of a few mid-round offensive weapons who could make sense for the Lions:
Juju Smith-Schuester, WR, USC
D’Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
George Kittle, TE, Iowa.
Then the boys dive into a live on-air mock draft by using the draft game at first-pick.com. Both Nick and Ryan preach the needs at DE and OLB, but the way the draft shakes out forces them to go in a different direction in each of the first four rounds. Tune in for the results and see how you would feel about these picks if they happened for Detroit.
The full results of the draft will also be posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages, so you can fully dissect the guys’ decisions.
Next week Brandon will be back after an extended vacation, so we look forward to the return of Detroit Lions Radio’s co-pilot.
As always, thanks for listening everybody, and be sure to share the podcast wherever you can.
Nick is joined this week by SideLion Report writer Ryan O’Bleness to discuss the pros and cons of some of the players most frequently mocked to the Detroit Lions in the first round of the draft. Taco Charlton, Charles Harris, and Haason Reddick are all broken down in great detail.
Plus, we dive into Ryan’s most recent article, describing the statistics behind Detroit’s offensive output in 2016. How was playing time distributed? Where did the offense find the greatest success? What can these numbers tell us about 2017?
Next week Nick and Ryan will shift the focus over to heavily mocked offensive guys. And eventually Brandon will quit slacking off in tropical destinations and rejoin the show.
As always, we appreciate you listening and sharing with friends and family. And please leave us a review wherever you listen.
